More Capcom

So apparently, after announcing the cancellation of Mega Man Legends 3 just days ago, today Capcom announced a new version of Marvel vs. Capcom 3, "Ultimate MvC3". As much as I'm admittedly excited about this, the timing just feels kind of weird...

On top of that, the entire set of new characters was accidentally leaked today on CAPCOM'S OWN SITE. For the original MvC3, the roster was leaked early on from what appeared to be an inside source. This time, they just had the images on their own website and failed to hide them properly, so they were all discovered.

The odd thing was that, in this huge crossover game, Mega Man still seems to be missing! One of Capcom's most iconic characters, who was already in the first two MvC games, got passed over in both the original MvC3 and the follow-up... Capcom can keep saying this has nothing to do with the departure of Keiji Infaune, but it just really feels like they're trying to wipe Mega Man off the face of the earth...

Anyway... Ultimate MvC3 still looks pretty cool, for the most part. Probably the only change I don't like is the new graphical appearance of X-Factor. The new look for the lifebars does look more comic book-like, though I feel it's harder to see the lifebars for the non-point characters. I like how it seems they've added more lines for the characters, when the last character on your team tags in.

Of the officially announced characters... I saw a livestream of a demo at Comic Con, and it looks like every single person is picking Strider. That's understandable. From what I've seen so far, I think I like Ghost Rider the best! Definitely interested in some of the leaked characters as well...

Well, looks like we'll only have to wait until November for this one! ASSUMING IT DOESN'T GET CANCELED.
