Well, I spent most of the evening playing with cards and getting back into PSU. I've been meaning to play all week, but I would often just end up feeling tired and try to go to bed early, only to wind up being unable to sleep and not feeling well-rested in the morning.
I've been trying to do the online story missions, which continue the story from the offline story mode, but it's so painful sometimes. It seems the pattern is to split each mission into two parts, with the first being a relatively easy "slay the monsters" section and the second being some infuriating "puzzle"-based area. Just... ugh! And I'm sure the worst is yet ahead.
Seriously debating whether or not to look for people to play cards with tomorrow... I was feeling confident earlier but now I have doubts. Plus I need to weigh the fun factor of the game against the anxiousness of meeting new people.

Still, I think you should give it a try, at least once. It might help if - in the case there's a conversation going already - you listen to them talk for a bit (to gauge about how well you can get along with them), and pipe in when you find an opening (like if you have some useful advice, or just an interesting observation to make). Most people seem to respond to that.
Anyway, good luck!
It seems like the local card shop has a small tournament each Saturday, so maybe I could try that, or at least see if I can play some people who are warming up!
